What to do

What should we do to stop RIAA monopoly? There are several things you can do to overcome RIAA:

Boycott all the products, made by RIAA - both Cds and DVDs. And it also includes boycotting free samples on the radio and TV. Doing this, you decrease RIAA's profits.

Government and RIAA don't think about us, who buy music, while chaging laws about for thó benefit of the major labels. We need the dialogue with them, we need media reporting all the facts and events to make everyone understand what's going on.

Copyright law reform is the result of the poor management in RIAA. Is it our problem? Why should we pay our money to those guys, that don't think about consumers while doing their job? We definetely should not.

Support indie-labels in order they can compete with RIAA. That's very important from the other point of view too.

We should incourage musicians to sign contracts with indi-labels, who care about musicians and their audience both. Artists who won't sign major label would be free to create what they like.

Support your local bands.
