STOPRIAALAWSUITS

RIAA and its consumers

RIAA gets its money from us. We buy CDs and they use our money against us, throwing this money at the lawyers to chase music industry "offenders". But we can stop doing this with our wallets. All of us should stop buying any albums that came up from RIAA labels.

You don't have to become a music pirate and you can still support your favourite bands. Buy their merch and see them live - they earn their money mostly from it. So feel free to support them in the way that gives no profit to RIAA.

We would also like to persuade you to buy music from bands on indie labels ad from unsigned bands. There are so much excellent musicians that have nothing in common with RIAA. Pay attention to what you are actually buying. Look at the label name and whenever you see Sony, EMI, UMG, Time Warner, & BMG logos, forget about this CD.

We can do this together. And we should show musicians that we respect their work and appreciate their music very much. We must not pirate it, but just quit buying from RIAA. Then every artist would be conscious of the label, he's signing and its consumer politics.
